Schuman Associates organized Panel discussion on importance of SMEs to economic recovery in the EU in Embassy of Ireland, Brussels.

Irish Belgian Business Association (IBBA) breakfast seminar

Ireland Belgium Business Association member, BDO, hosted a high level discussion on 25 April, on the importance and contribution of SMEs to economic recovery in the European Union. The debate, which took place in the Embassy of Ireland to Belgium, was opened by H.E. Eamonn MacAodha, Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Belgium, and led by the European Commission’s DG Enterprise (Costas Andropoulos European Commission DG Enterprise, Head of unit for SME policy)  and Members of the European Parliament for Ireland (MEP Sean Kelly) and Belgium (MEP Philippe De Backer) . The interactive discussion included also representatives from Belgian, Irish and other EU SMEs.

BDO’s global head of regulatory affairs and public policy, Noel Clehane, moderated the discussion.
