is German. He is a partner with Schuman Associates and heads up operations. He has assisted clients for over 10 years in developing strategies and building their presence in Brussels. Notable achievements include successful implementation of numerous advocacy campaigns at the highest EU levels. Over the years Jan has built up extensive insights into EU funding processes and helped many organizations in their tendering strategies. He is also a senior lecturer and course director at the European Training Institute and has pioneering innovative courses for government officials and the private sector. Prior to joining Schuman Associates, Jan worked in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Regional Policy where he gained first hand valuable experience on the EU Structural Funds. He also was a Consultant in the EU Office of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He studied economics and politics in Heidelberg, Toulouse and Exeter and is fluent in German, English and French.
