EU policy – EU Funding and Environmental policy

is Romanian and a consultant on EU funding and environmental policy. She joined Schuman in 2008. Oana is an environmental economist and is assisting environmental stakeholders ranging from NGOs to international companies with their project management and business development activities. As a project manager for the Regional Environmental Center (REC) for Central and Eastern Europe in charge of IFIs funded projects she worked on the EU acquis in the environmental field for Romania. The activities carried out ranged from programming, supporting and training consultants and beneficiaries in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of EC and privately funded environmental programmes –including PHARE, ISPA, USAID and DEFRA. She also acted as a business development consultant in following areas such as institutional strengthening and capacity building, environmental economics and finance, and environmental, regional and rural infrastructure for several international companies. She graduated the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest with a degree in Environmental Economics, Macroeconomics and Globalisation. She is fluent in Romanian, English, French and Italian.
