• We have been working with Schuman in EU healthcare domain in Central and Eastern Europe for more than 3 years. I have to emphasize very professional approach of complete Schuman Team, possessing high level of knowledge on strategic initiatives in HC in CEE as well as very deep particular knowledge on country specific EU opportunities and projects. We benefit from regular knowledge updates from Schuman to our Teams on EU processes as well as from scheduled country reviews on EU legislative changes and EU project announcement/follow-up. Great Team composition of experienced professionals located in countries of CEE. Inspiring dedicated support and partnership spirit of Schuman Team members is highly appreciated. We have been learning while doing tasks together and we do look forward for some great examples of wins in EU deals in 2018.

  • The British Council commissioned Schuman Associates to perform a strategic analysis of the impact of the EU Referendum on the access to funding for the UK's Education and Culture sectors. The work done by Schuman Associates was of outstanding quality for its clarity in quantitative and qualitative terms, and offered insightful proposals to address this impact. This no doubt stems from their extensive experience of the EU as well as their astute understanding of the British Council requirements in this study.

Krzys Jurek, Head EU Office , British Council Brussels
  • We have been working for years with Schuman and have been always enjoying their professional support on planned and unplanned missions to detect business opportunities. Thanks to their daily work, we keep a continuous control on long term initiatives, even at the very early stage. Schuman always finds who to contact in the sometimes complex EU organization. This partnership is very valuable.

  • Together with the consultants from Schuman Associates we started to develop the pre-feasibility search to find the ways of financing the modernization of heating boilers on the enterprises which belong to the regional council. We were advised to enlarge the scale of the projects. We merged several different projects into one with the total costs of 22 million USD. Schuman Associates also gave concrete recommendations of what to mention in our feasibility studies and presentations for lFl. Following given recommendations, our heating enterprise received the loan in World Bank. Dnipropetrovsk regional council thanks Schuman Associates, and personally, head of operations Mr. Jan Droge, who was involved into the project fully in challenging time range.

Volodymyr Peregudo , Deputy Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, Ukraine

Investments in sectors like R&D, environment, energy and ICT, agriculture, employment and education will represent major priorities in most of the countries, with public authorities as key beneficiaries of funding.

The five EU's structural and investment funds are:
  • European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

External aid: a world of opportunities

With more than 50 billion EUR spent worldwide on an annual basis, the EU is one of the largest donors of Official Development Aid.

EU external aid funding is delivered through geographic and thematic instruments, such as the Instrument for Pre - Accession (IPA II), the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI), the European Development Fund (EDF) the Development Co-operation Instrument (DCI) and more.

Schuman Associates will enable you to access the EU and other international donor funding, such as the EIB, EBRD and the World Bank.

ict-networksBrussels driven initiatives:

Brussels is the origin of several pan European initiatives developing ICT networks, security systems and transport corridors.

Being involved since the inception phase is vital to get access to the funding, very often disbursed through complex mechanisms involving EU Agencies, member states and EC headquarters.

Schuman Associates contribute to grow clients' business by predicting/anticipating EU needs. We will help you position in the emerging pan-European projects and guide you in the process to engage directly with the EC and the European Agencies as customers.
