Support the establishment of a European Parliament Intergroup on the Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe

The undersigned companies and organisations, which are part of the Schuman Associates Skills Coalition, together with The European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE) and The Lifelong Learning Platform - European Civil Society for Education (LLLP), support the establishment of a new Intergroup on the Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe.

The proposal for the European Parliament Intergroup is supported by Co-Chair Victor Negrescu (S&D), Co-Chair Eleonora Meleti (EPP), Co-Chair Brigitte van den Berg (Renew) and Co-Chair Nela Riehl (Greens).

CECIMO - European Association of Manufacturing Technologies

CECIMO is the European Association of Manufacturing Technologies, representing the common interests of this sector at both EU and global levels. CECIMO supports innovation, standards, and sustainable manufacturing practices through advocacy and collaboration with policymakers and industry stakeholders. With a focus on advancing digitalisation, automation, and additive manufacturing, CECIMO drives competitiveness and growth in European manufacturing. COSMETICS EUROPE

Cosmetics Europe is the European trade association for the cosmetics and personal care industry. Our members include cosmetics and personal care manufacturers, and also associations representing our industry at national level, right across Europe. For more than 60 years, Cosmetics Europe has been the authoritative voice of the cosmetics and personal care industry in Europe.

EBC - European Builders Confederation

The European Builders Confederation (EBC) emphasizes the importance of skills development in the construction sector, particularly to address the challenges of the green and digital transitions. They highlight the need for vocational training, especially in areas like digitalization, energy efficiency, and the circular economy. Their initiatives aim to bridge the skills gap and ensure that construction workers are equipped to meet future demands. EBC has been involved in several projects, such as the Construction Blueprint for Skills and the Pact for Skills, which focus on developing training programs to ensure a sufficient workforce for the renovation and sustainable construction sectors. They stress that achieving the EU's environmental and energy goals by 2050 will require more skilled workers and better-funded training systems. EBC also emphasizes collaboration between industry, workers' representatives, public authorities, and training bodies to address these challenges. Furthermore, EBC is active in promoting the use of human-centric technologies, such as AI and automation, to improve safety and productivity in construction.

EIT Digital is a leading innovation engine in digital technologies, dedicated to driving Europe's digital transformation through investment, business development, and educational programs. ERT - European Round Table for Industry

The European Round Table for Industry (ERT) brings together CEOs and Chairs from around 60 of Europe’s largest industrial and technology companies, all dedicated to building a strong, open and competitive Europe. Founded in 1983, the ERT works to reinforce Europe’s global standing by fostering collaboration between industry leaders and policymakers. Through in-depth reports, policy papers and active engagement with European and international institutions, the ERT advocates for policies that drive sustainable growth, job creation, and shared prosperity. Guided by core values of freedom, tolerance, equality and openness, the ERT emphasises the importance of cooperation across industry, policy makers and stakeholders throughout Europe.

Euratex - European Apparel and Textile Confederation

EURATEX, the European Apparel and Textile Confederation, represents the unified interests of the textile and clothing industries at both EU and global levels. EURATEX's member federations directly or indirectly represent, in the EU, some 186.000 companies of an industry employing 1.8 million workers. The companies which are predominantly SME’s cover a broad industry cross-section in terms of product, market segment and geographical spread.As the voice of the European industry, EURATEX aims to foster a favorable environment for textile and clothing manufacturing within the EU. It is dedicated to facilitating SME access to EU policymaking and ensuring their voices are heard. EURATEX supports innovation, sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices, and the circular economy through advocacy and collaboration with policymakers and industry stakeholders. By championing its members' interests, EURATEX shapes a vibrant, sustainable future for Europe's textile and clothing industry, supporting competitiveness, economic growth, and job creation in the EU. 

European Banking Federation

The European Banking Federation is the voice of the European banking sector, uniting 33 national banking associations in Europe that together represent some 3,500 banks – large and small, wholesale and retail, local and international – employing about 2,7 million people.

European Health Management Association

Since 1982, the European Health Management Association (EHMA) has served as a not-for-profit membership organisation open to all those committed to improving health and healthcare. It focuses its actions on health management capacity and capabilities and aims to support the successful implementation of health policy and practice where possible. Through its efforts, it makes a difference across Europe to improve health for all citizens. EHMA remains the only membership organisation in Europe to invite and gather health and hospital managers, healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, academia, policy and decision-makers. 

EuropeOn - European Electrical Contractors' Association 

EuropeOn, the European Electrical Contractors' Association, has been the voice of electrical contractors in Europe since its founding in 1954. Representing over 1.8 million professionals across the continent, EuropeOn champions the role of electrical contractors in driving energy efficiency and innovation. The association advocates for policies and regulatory environments that support the growth and integration of advanced electrical solutions. By engaging with policymakers, industry leaders, and the public, EuropeOn aims to enhance the visibility and importance of electrical contractors in building a smarter, more sustainable future for Europe. Heat Pump Association 

The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) has been the leading voice of the heat pump industry in Europe since its establishment. Representing manufacturers, research institutes, and stakeholders from across the continent, EHPA promotes the use of heat pump technology as a cornerstone for energy efficiency and sustainability and aims for heat pumps to become the number one heating and cooling choice by 2030. The association advocates for favorable policy frameworks and regulatory environments, ensuring the growth and integration of heat pumps into Europe's energy systems. EHPA members drive innovation and investment in cutting-edge heating and cooling solutions, contributing to Europe's climate goals. By engaging with policymakers, industry experts, and the public, EHPA aims to advance the adoption of heat pump technology, fostering a cleaner, more energy-efficient future for Europe.  

International Anti-Crime Academy 

The International Anti Crime Academy (IACA) is a leading training institute specialising in tactical digital investigation, open source intelligence (OSINT), open source financial intelligence (OSFINT), combating financial-economic crime (FEC), analysing online and offline human behavior, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) for intelligence analysis, information gathering, and recognising and identifying disinformation. Founded in 2013 and based in Gilze-Rijen, Netherlands, IACA also offers its specialised training programmes internationally. The courses and diplomas provided by IACA are widely recognised and highly regarded by various government agencies and private organisations. 

Lighting Europe

LightingEurope is a leading industry association dedicated to advancing the lighting sector across Europe. It represents 32 companies and national associations and encompasses over 1,000 companies, predominantly small and medium-sized, that manufacture luminaires, lamps, and related components. LightingEurope advocates for efficient lighting solutions that enhance human comfort, safety, and environmental sustainability. With its Strategy 2030, the association aims to unify the industry, promote sustainable practices, and support robust regulations. Limerick University Foundation 

The Limerick University Foundation is an independent organisation dedicated to supporting the mission and vision of the University of Limerick (UL) through strategic fundraising and partnership-building.  By fostering connections between the university, its alumni, and the broader community, the Foundation plays a pivotal role in enhancing educational opportunities, research initiatives, and campus development. The Foundation advocates for innovation, advancing research, academic excellence and sustainable development. Through its efforts, the Limerick University Foundation has channeled over €200 million of funding into UL’s infrastructure and academic programmes that enables the university to offer scholarships, advance cutting-edge research, create state-of-the-art facilities and increase societal impact. 

MTU - Munster Technological University

Munster Technological University is a multi-campus technological university, located in the South-West of Ireland. It contributes to the region through the provision of academic programmes that support student development and opportunities, education and research.  MTU has an extensive and impressive regional footprint with six campuses across the South-West region in Cork and Kerry, and a student body of 18,000. MTU offers the full range of higher education qualifications, across an extensive range of disciplines including business, science, computer science, engineering, media communications, and humanities.

The Adecco Group
