On 11th February Schuman Associates organized EU–Africa Breakfast Briefing “The 11th EDF and the EU Africa Summit 2014: opportunities for public private engagement” with Nicholas Westcott, Managing Director Africa European External Action Service (EEAS).

The briefing took place at EEAS Headquarters in Brussels and gave an unique opportunity to private sector representatives to discuss directly with senior EU officials on how to constructively and positively engage with the EU in Africa.

It was an excellent occasion to discuss:

  • Ongoing negotiations on the 11th EDF: state of affairs
  • EU and Africa new partnership model? Implementing the “Agenda for change”
  • The way to the next EU-Africa Summit in Brussels, 2014?
  • Opportunities for private sector engagement in Africa 2014 and beyond
