We are looking for an Account Executive with bid management experience to join our team. This person will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on ongoing and forthcoming possibilities coming from the Brussels managed EU programmes, preparing applications and implementing projects
  • Support clients in positioning for strategic funding programmes
  • Focus on digitalisation, innovation, as well as healthcare and the green agenda

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Economics, Law, Political Science, International Relations, European Studies)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional work experience, preferable on bid management
  • Project management experience and strong analytical skills; attention to detail and highly organised; practical approach to problem solving; ability to work well under pressure
  • Professional experience in EU funding programmes is preferred: Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Digital Europe Programme or CEF
  • Previous experience with the EU funding Portal and the proposals submission process is preferred
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently
  • Excellent written and spoken English; other EU languages will be considered an asset

Requirements

  1. Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Economics, Law, Political Science, International Relations, European Studies)

  5. Practical approach to problem solving

    • Support clients in positioning for strategic funding programmes

    • Development and implementation of communication strategies
    • In implementing these tasks, this person will be assisted by one or two junior consultant(s) in our team.

 

Requirements

Core responsibilities of a bid writer

  • Re-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
  • Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way to meet / exceed the client’s requirements
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Proposal Manager against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required
  • Lead storyboard sessions with bid / proposal team members
  • Assist the Bid / Proposal Manager in developing a proposal structure
  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in EU programmes: specially CEF and Innovation Fund calls
  • Ability to coach sales and solution / SME teams in writing best practice
  • Excellent time management / prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills

External Aid: international donor agencies

 

Schuman Associates provides consultancy services to international donor agencies. We are members of two different consortia participating in DG DEVCO FWC Services for the implementation of external aid 2018.

The duration of the contract is 4 years, with a potential total value of 650 million EUR.

Africa Digital Transformation initiative

 

Schuman Associates is present at the European Investment Bank Framework Contract to support its activities in the Africa Digital Transformation initiative.

The maximum value of the contract is 2 MEUR. The individual assignments, which will have medium to long term implications, will span across four main themes of the Africa Digital Transformation :

  1. Policy: contribution to the development of a National Digital Economy Strategy
  2. Elaborate business plans for Digital infrastructure requirements (may include PPPs)
  3. Provision of support with regards to developing Cybersecurity policy and action plans
