Addressing policy challenges in Financial Crime: FinTech and Information Sharing.

The event will take place at Silversquare, 3rd Floor, 35 Square Meeûs, 1000 Brussels from 14h until 17h30.

Information sharing continues to be one of the main challenges to the efforts to combat financial crime. EU and Member State actions to improve public/private cooperation in this regard have been stepped up after the Paris and Brussels attacks but numerous obstacles remain unaddressed. Simultaneously, in the attempt to innovate in its response against financial crime, the Financial Action Task Force and the EU have expressed interest in FinTech and its potential to help address some of the more common AML/CTF challenges faced by law enforcement and practitioners.

Speakers drawn from public and private sector as well as from EU institutions will introduce and debate these key themes emerging from the on-going regulatory proposals and risk assessments.
