Mike Savarese
Associate
With fifteen years of experience at Schuman Associates, Mike has held several roles within the core team, including: Country Lead for Italy; Head of the Public Affairs practice, with a focus on skills and employment; and EU External Aid Funding Lead. He now acts as an Associate, continuing to advise the firm and contribute to business development and outreach between Rome and Brussels.
Prior to joining Schuman Associates Mike worked in the international division of a large Italian IT company managing international projects as well as developing new partnerships. He has studied in Italy and the USA and has spent a year working in Ireland on EU Framework contracts within an international consultancy company based in Dublin. He arrived in Brussels and gained experience in the European Parliament through an internship while he pursued a graduate certificate in International Affairs at Boston University in Brussels.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from John Cabot University in Rome. He is Italian-American and speaks English and Italian.
