Ruth Estrada Dorronsoro

Ruth is CEO of Schuman Associates. She oversees the firm’s strategic direction, business development, and organisational growth, while ensuring high-quality advisory services to clients across Europe.

She guides teams in the design and delivery of EU-funded projects, supports clients in securing public funding, and strengthening long-term partnerships with European institutions, industry, and research actors. She is also responsible for talent development and for building a diverse and high-performing team.

With over 35 years of experience in EU funding and investment strategy, she has helped businesses, public institutions, and NGOs secure and optimise EU grants and funding opportunities. She has successfully led projects worth over €20 million, supporting organisations in navigating the complexities of EU financing.

Beyond her work with Schuman Associates, Ruth also shares her knowledge as a lecturer on EU affairs across various forums, online and in person.

Ruth has a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics from Deusto University in Spain, a Master’s in European Affairs from the University of Amsterdam, and completed an Executive Course in Leading Authentically in Digital Times at Solvay Brussels School.

Ruth is Spanish, and speaks English, French, Italian, Basque, and Spanish.
