European elections - What's next?


The European elections results are in! *  

The new European Parliament will be more fragmented the previous one, which will make coalition building on different policies more complex, down the line.

The Greens and Eurosceptic parties did better than in the last elections, while the two main political parties, the EPP and S&D, had their worst results since 1979.

Now that we know how the new European Parliament will look, the next big question is: who will be the new President of the European Commission?

The answer will be at the end of long and intense negotiations taking place over the next couple of weeks, and the result will shape the EU's policies for the next five years.
