Contribution of REGIO investments to the sustainable development of the Bucharest-Ilfov region


 Between January and June 2019, Romania holds the Presidency of the EU Council with the main objective of ensuring cohesion and sustainable development for all European citizens, an important stake in the development of a strong EU cohesion policy after 2020. The regions have the most important role in this process, through the messages they send at European level.

On February 5, 2019, Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency organizes the seminar "Contribution of REGIO investments to the sustainable development of the Bucharest-Ilfov region" in Brussels. The event aims at presenting the results and stage of the REGIO implementation within Bucharest-Ilfov region. The concepts of sustainable development and sustainable growth will also be promoted in the context of regional development policy funded through the Regional Operational Programme.

The importance of investment attraction strategies will be highlighted and opportunities for investment financing will be presented in order to promote the Bucharest-Ilfov region as an attractive destination for investments.
