Schuman Associates was honored to be a partner of the international conference ”Financing opportunities for the private sector. The large investments” organized by EurActiv Romania and the European Commission Representation, on the 26th of May 2015, in Bucharest.

The event was part of a series of strategic conferences dedicated to EU funding and provided key insights and updates on several financing opportunities for large companies available through the EU Structural and Investment Funds 2014-2020 in Romania, but also through Brussels driven programmes and the state budget.

Among the speakers, we note the presence of Ms. Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca, Director at DG Regional and Urban Policy, Mr. Marius Nica, the Romanian Minister of European Funds and of the representatives of the authorities in charge with the implementation of EU and national funding programmes (Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance).

Our colleague, Anca Călugăru has spoken on the role of the business sector in implementing EU strategic projects. Anca has stressed the need to reinforce the transparent cooperation between the private companies and the public sector for generating and delivering good quality EU funded projects in the next 5-7 years.
