Schuman Associates is delighted to be part of the ‘Winning Business in Africa’ initiative supported by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs. Together with Ibec we have built a portal of opportunities totalling 8.5 BEUR of EU funding projects in Africa. The web portal provides information on the opportunities available. Accompanying advice and networking opportunities will allow Irish companies to form clusters and get involved in projects.
On 11 October, in the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities, the BCO Support Facility organized a workshop to showcase good practices for broadband deployment from three European Regions.

Schuman Associates has been invited by the Vienna University to enhance the skills of their project managers when applying for Erasmus + proposals. On the 1st and 2nd December, Isane Aparicio will be presenting the do's and dont's for a succesful proposal for the Knowledege Alliance call, which is currently open until next 28th February 2017. On 16th September 2016 Schuman Associates Schuman in partnership with BECI is organizing a one day Training Workshop "Unlocking EU Funding opportunities in Africa" on how to participate to financed EU projects in Africa.
On 1st July 2016 Schuman Associates delivered a workshop to BECI-Brussels Enterprises Commerce & Industry on the new EU Financial instruments for Africa (Agrifi, Electrifi, and Africa Trust Fund). BECI represents 35,000 companies with economic activities in Brussels, as well as self-employed individuals, company managers and liberal professions.
This information session presented the challenges for enhancing the public private partnership between the EU and Africa and opportunities for private companies with these EU Financial Instruments.

On October 2nd, Lene Topp from Schuman Associates conducted a tailored training on EU funding for corporations and trade associations for selected members of the Public Affairs Council. During the training the participants obtained an understanding of EU funding and why it matters as well as insights on how to position and tender for funds managed by the European Commission.
In the framework of an existing strategic partnership with Euractiv Romania, on the 9th of October 2015, Schuman Associates supported the organization of a special event dedicated to EU funding opportunities for agricultural and rural development in Romania.

In July 2015, Schuman Associates was invited by Access Europe Ireland to train its members on how to create EU-wide partnerships in the social and educational sectors. The trainings, in Dublin and Belfast respectively, were attended by non-for-profit Irish and Northern Irish members of the Access Europe Ireland network. As many of the participants were new to EU funding, the training also provided insights on do’s and don’ts for applying.
The European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM) organised last 2nd and 3rd March a workshop on EU funding for NGOs.
On 11th of December 2013, Schuman Associates has trained in Brussels, 18 Palop country MEP representatives (from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and Sao Tome y Principe) in the framework of the The Center for Creative Leadership (CLL- programme) supported by UNDP.
