On 13 November, the Nickel Institute and the Surface Engineering Association organised a breakfast briefing with the support of Schuman Associates on the topic of "EU 2020 and Industrial Competitiveness: SMEs in the Surface Engineering Sector" in the European Parliament in Brussels.
Hosted by MEP Paul Rübig (Austria), panelists from the European Commission, European Parliament, EU member states and industry discussed what Europe needs to maintain its industrial competitiveness.
