We are looking for

A bid writing specialist with solid experience in EU proposal development who enjoys both the client-facing and delivery sides of consultancy. Our ideal candidate will have previous tendering / bidding experience.

The role

You will work on tenders across EU funding programmes related to digital, research and innovation, helping clients prepare competitive proposals and manage partnerships.

You will work within the Schuman Associates practices with a high degree of interaction with all colleagues in our EU Headquarters in Brussels. 

Key responsibilities

Lead high-priority proposal development for clients, ensuring strategic alignment, timely and high quality delivery:

  • Oversee the full proposal workflow: design of the structure, coordination of drafting inputs, partner contributions, and final consolidation
  • Coordinate budget preparation and support budget negotiations with clients and partners
  • Ensure compliance with all administrative and technical requirements of tenders and grant applications
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and partners during proposal preparation

Profile and experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in EU funding consultancy and proposal writing
  • Ability to work well in an international and multicultural environment  
  • Excellent written and spoken English (native-level equivalent)

Additionally, considered advantageous 

  • Previous experience in submission of proposals in response to EU tenders
  • Ability to convert complex information into usable intelligence and present and analyse it with speed, accuracy and added value
