Schuman Associates organized together with Euractiv Romania, two round table events in Bucharest, on EU funding for R&D (on the 19th of June 2015) and human resources development (on the 2nd of July 2015). The guest speaker of both events was Mr. Marius Nica, Minister of EU Funds. He was accompanied by the management of the relevant EU Programmes that support investment in the two areas: the managing authority of the Competitiveness Operational Programme, respectively the managing authority of the Human Capital Operational Programme.

Schuman Associates has been included in the Capacity Catalogue - a new online publication to help civil society leaders identify their organisations’ strengths, their weaknesses, and think critically about where and how to improve.

In July 2015, Schuman Associates was invited by Access Europe Ireland to train its members on how to create EU-wide partnerships in the social and educational sectors. The trainings, in Dublin and Belfast respectively, were attended by non-for-profit Irish and Northern Irish members of the Access Europe Ireland network. As many of the participants were new to EU funding, the training also provided insights on do’s and don’ts for applying.

  Schuman Associates was invited by Cambium Networks to deliver the keynote speech of their 2015 EMEA Partner event in Cape Town in September. Danai Tsapikidou, Partner with Schuman Associates presented the Digital Agenda for Europe and its international dimension, as well as the investment opportunities emanating across EMEA.

In the framework of the "EUROPE 2020 Strategy for Growth: Promoting Business Partnerships in Europe", the European Commission Vice-President, Mr Antonio Tajani, headed a Mission for Growth to Spain, with the support of the Enterprise Europe Network and the Governments of Andalucía and Extremadura. Schuman Associates attended this event in Sevilla on 2nd and 3rd April 2014.

Schuman Associates organized in cooperation with the European Committee for Surface Treatment (CETS) and SME Europe a Working Breakfast on "Surface Engineering – European SMEs for a Global Sustainable Manufacturing Future" on March 19th 2014 in the European Parliament's Members Salon.

On 3rd December Schuman Associates, which acts as a secretariat of AME- Anti Money Laudering Europe, organized a lunch seminar at the European Economic and Social Committee. The event was Co-hosted by MEP Dr Krisjanis Karins and Mr Christophe Zeeb, EESC Member. Speakers included DG Markt, the Lithuanian Presidency and MEP Judith Sargentini, co- rapporteur of the 4th AML Directive.

On 11^th of December 2013, Schuman Associates has trained in Brussels, 18 Palop country MEP representatives (from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and Sao Tome y Principe) in the framework of the The Center for Creative Leadership (CLL- programme) supported by UNDP.

EU SME breakfast briefing hosted by MEP Paul Rübig at the European Parliament

On 27th November 2013, Danish MEP Bendt Bendtsen co-hosted a breakfast briefing in the European Parliament with BDO International. The briefing on access to finance for European companies focused on the specific needs of the European mid-sized companies with regards to funding as well as generally addressing their challenges when it comes to growth.
